Family, today we go past the mental chatter and drop straight into the deep, quiet void of the physical self. True stillness is forged in the absence of input. Let go of the need to do, and step into being.
• 🚫 Digital & Environmental Constraint: Radical Sensory Fast. Complete functional silence during your practices, no talking unless absolutely necessary. No reading, no podcasts, no music. Use an eye mask during your resting sessions to starve the mind of visual simulation.
• 🌅 Morning Practice: The Stillness Box (20 Minutes)
• The Breath: 4-4-4-4 Box Breathing. Inhale for 4 seconds, hold full for 4 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds, hold empty for 4 seconds.
• The Movement: On all fours, initiate a slow, fluid, wave-like cat-cow movement starting from your tailbone and rippling through each vertebra to your head. Don't worry about form; move intuitively to unglue your spinal fascia.
• ☀️ Afternoon Practice: Psoas De-Armoring (15 Minutes)
• The Breath: 5-second nasal inhale, hold the breath comfortably for 20 seconds (or until your body signals the first urge to breathe), followed by a passive, relaxed release.
• The Movement: Lie flat on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Gently tilt your pelvis forward and back using microscopic, 1-millimeter movements to release the deep psoas muscle without revving up your nervous system.
• 🌙 Evening Practice: Ocular-Cranial Release (15 Minutes)
• The Breath: 3-second imperceptible, silent nasal inhale, and a 6-second ultra-slow, silent nasal exhale. The breath should be so quiet it wouldn't even move a feather placed under your nose.
• The Movement: Lie down on the back with your legs resting at a 90-degree angle on a chair. Place a firm, small rolled towel directly under the base of your skull. Let the entire weight of your head sink into the floor, micro-nodding your chin to turn off the mental engine.
We are dropping into the deep quiet today. Share your stillness check-in below when your practices are done. 🤍
