Balancing Strength, Health, and Recovery: My Journey as a Diabetic
After years of intense internal competition,
I’ve started to approach my physical work and training differently, placing more emphasis on strength. At the same time, being a massage therapist and a Type 1 diabetic, I give a lot of energy through my work, so I’m learning how to better balance training and recovery without spending too much time in the red zone.
By following the advice and principles of Philip Daru and Seth Morris, I’m gradually adjusting my training so that I can also allow myself proper rest, and consciously stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system as much as the sympathetic one.
I’m truly grateful to be part of this group and to have the opportunity to receive your perspectives and, if possible, advice on nutrition and supplementation.
