WWYD With a Head Coaching Opportunity
If you were named a head coach of a High School Team today… what are your action items/steps to becoming a .500+ program in year 1.
Here are the circumstances:
1: public school - so no legal recruiting
2: program finished last in the league the year prior
3: not enough players to field a freshman team year prior
4: two elementary schools in the district - graduating classes of ~200-300 kids (3-5A classification school)
Some things to keep in mind: hiring a staff, scheduling, fundraising, parents, players, summer workout plans, offensive and defensive structure
