Do you agree?!?!?!?
I’m a big believer that kids should play multiple sports instead of specializing early. I know some people disagree and think they should focus on just one. What are your thoughts on this? And if you agree with multi-sport development, which sport do you think translates best to basketball?

I think it can work both ways some of my best players that went and played Division 1 play basketball and they crossed in other things besides basketball training like speed and strength. I also had players play soccer, volleyball, lacrosse, softball, and track I think soccer was very good a lot of the same concepts it helps the footwork and vision to help improvement to movement. I believe Lacrosse could be good because it is a change of speed with cuts like basketball and soccer but it is a sport where the head stays up while running instead of soccer where the dribbler has their head down and up. So lacrosse would mirror basketball the most. I believe it doesn't matter it's up to the person some need multiple sports dome don't but if they want to be good at a certain one then they better practice that one the most. You don't see college doing the multiple sport thing because they cross-train off-season there keep getting better. FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Biggest Myth Currently?
What do you think is the biggest myth in modern basketball training that most players still believe?

I agree with Danny follow your shot. Lateral shuffle on D instead of learning to turn and run
Coaching decision
I’m curious so I want to throw this scenario out to the group. Your career goal is to become a Head Men’s basketball coach. You are next in line to become a HS Head Boys coach taking over after the current coach leaves the position. You are learning and developing under the current head coach who stills has about 4 years left of coaching. During your time the Head coaching position for Women’s Basketball team becomes available at the same school. You have a great relationship with admin, the previous coach and the players who are returning. You are a great candidate for the position. Do you go for the women’s position? What will go through your head as you wok through making that decision?

I have done both boys and girls so here is what I got for you. Take the head coaching job; it doesn't matter, if it's a girls' or boys' job. I have done the same system in both and done well. The girls side less problems most of the time and they want to be coached you just have to teach the details more on the triggers they play below the rim. They boys can make up for some of the lack of fundamentals on the trigger and play above the rim. I have much more but it would be very long.
