NBA Off-season Workouts
Been in the lab daily with 76ers Forward, Rayan Rupert the past month. A big focus for us this off-season is on his catch and shoot 3s. His career % is 32.4%. I pride myself on taking shooters from the 20s and 30s to the 40s the following season. Follow along as Rayan and I work together to get him into the 40% range this season. If we can achieve this, he is going to be a massive addition to the already star-studded 76ers roster. You can check out one of the film breakdowns I've made him here: https://www.skool.com/dannycooperbasketball/classroom/bc70514d?md=09f1fa7281df46008dcb7af403bcf464

been fun working with Rayan, excited to see him contribute on a star studded team
Specificity When Training
One thing I’ve learned working with Danny is how intentional he is when building workouts. Instead of trying to improve everything at once, he will identify the player’s three biggest weaknesses and organize their training around them. For example: A Day: Finishing through contact B Day: Shooting off the dribble C Day: Pick-and-roll decisions You can even take one skill and divide it into three areas. Finishing through contact could become: - Creating better driving angles - Absorbing bumps - Using the second dribble The goal isn’t to cover as much as possible. It’s to spend enough time on the right things to create real improvement. What is one skill you’re currently trying to help your players improve?

Our best summer yet!
A win we had this past week was finishing up our 4th off-season full-time. @Nate Dougherty and I started back in June of 2023 when we finished playing in College. Each summer, we've been blessed to work with hundreds of Professional players in the NBA, WNBA, Euroleague, Europe, and other pro leagues. Additionally, we've been building with some players for the past 4-7 years since they were in High School, that are now leaving for their college seasons. The goal of every summer is to improve our players with intentional work and prepare them for the upcoming season. This was our best summer yet, working with 50+ Pro, college, and high-level high school players. What was the best part of your summer?

Is my flyer too loud
What do y’all think of this flyer? Is it clear or too much noise?

#1 in my personal opinion, I hate Chat GPT flyers. they all look the same, they have no uniqueness to them. If you can make one yourself, I'd prefer that 100x over. In terms of the info... you don't need the pricing or anything. Just have the days and times you offer, the age groups, and first free session. You can tell the parent all the pricing and details in person, which you will regardless of the flyer.
What’s one drill you’ve modified recently—and why?
One thing I’ve learned from watching Danny coach is that a drill should never be treated as permanent. If players are succeeding too easily, increase the difficulty. If they’re completely overwhelmed, simplify the constraints. The goal is to find the sweet spot where they’re challenged enough to learn but still capable of finding solutions. Drop a drill you’ve recently modified in the comments and explain what you changed. I’d love to see how everyone here adjusts drills based on the players in front of them.
