“Meet the Head Coach” open gym.
Hey all! I was just named varsity boys head coach. My first head coaching gig after 4 years as an assistant.
We’re having a “meet the coach” open gym next week for returning and prospective players. My plan is to have a brief intro of myself and my coaching style philosophy for about 5 minutes for the parents/players and then have the boys go 5v5 while I mingle and talk with parents and/or players.
I may be overthinking this but anyone have any suggestions on doing anything more with this opportunity? It is a recruiting opportunity as there will be players there looking for new homes. Thanks!
