Quick heads up if you're running lead ads with Facebook or Instagram instant forms.
Meta has tightened the rules around asking for personal details outside their standard questions.
That means you can't directly ask for a child's name or a child's age anymore.
Annoying? Yes. A dealbreaker? No.
You just have to get a bit creative with how you word things. 🔍
✅️ Getting the child's name - the trick is to word it so Meta's system doesn't flag that you're asking for a name.
Try these:
➡️ What is your child's N A M E? (space the letters out like that)
➡️ Who will be attending the free trial?
➡️ Who are we saving a spot for?
➡️ Who's the little dancer joining us?
✅️ Getting the child's age - instead of asking for age outright, use a multiple choice question and let them pick a range.
Something like:
Which best describes your child?
1️⃣ Little one (18 months to 3 years)
2️⃣ Pre-schooler (3 to 5 years)
3️⃣ School age (5 to 8 years)
4️⃣ Tween (8 to 12 years)
5️⃣ Teen (12+)
You get the info you need to point them to the right class, and Meta stays happy because you're not directly asking for age.
Adjust those ranges to match your own timetable and class structure.
✅️ Why this matters - the whole point of your form is to capture enough to follow up properly and get them into the right class.
So don't ditch the questions. Just reword them 🥰
