Heyy
I got my first win in copywriting and an important lesson with it.
The win? $5.
Not from outreach. Not from client work. From a contest …breaking down a storytelling email from a newsletter I regularly read, Ashu drafts
He liked my breakdown. I got the prize.
Here's the honest part though.
These days I've been completely inconsistent. Wasn't writing. Wasn't outreaching. Wasn't doing anything except reading emails every day.
It was like I have almost quit copywriting (like I wasn’t working) but didn’t want to quit.
That’s why I kept reading emails everyday. Got to know about contest → Participated → won the prize.
$5 isn't life-changing. But it's proof.
Proof that the work I had put in before I almost quit wasn't wasted.
Proof that skill doesn't disappear when you almost quit.
The lesson isn't "stay consistent" you already know that.
The lesson is: “Don't fully quit”
Keep one small habit alive even when everything else falls apart.
That is enough.
It brought me back. It can bring you back too.
Signing off
