I'm traveling today, so I baked mine last night. Had to get ahead of the game so I'd have the photos and the experience fresh to help you all on Saturday. And I'm glad I did, because these came out beautiful.
We've got three star breads to choose from this week:
🧄 Savory Spanakopita Star Bread — Spinach, feta, mozzarella, cream cheese, garlic, and red pepper flakes. The original. Salty, creamy, with a little heat. This is the one on the Recipe Pantry.
🩷 Two-Tone Beetroot Star Bread — Same enriched dough split into two colors using beetroot powder. Pink and gold twists with a cinnamon filling. This one stops people mid-scroll.
🍯 Cinnamon Sugar Star Bread — Softened butter, cinnamon sugar between every layer, finished with a simple glaze. Pull-apart cinnamon roll energy in star form.
Same dough. Same shaping technique. Same bake time. The only thing that changes is the filling and the color.
