With the advancement of smart clothing and affective computing, a research and design trend has emerged that aims to create garments capable of responding to human emotions through changes in color or lighting. This trend has been realized in practice through experimental prototypes developed by CuteCircuit, which succeeded in producing smart garments whose lighting or colors change based on physiological indicators related to the wearer’s emotional state, such as breathing and movement. This report aims to evaluate whether this concept has been successfully implemented in practice or remains within the experimental stage.
