PSA: Why the CLASSIFIEDS is a public group

When you join a group, it’s always a good idea to make note of whether the group is public or private.

Public means anyone in the world can see everything inside the community (unless there are locks on courses). Everything inside is also indexed by search engines like Google.

Private means only the people inside the group can see what’s posted.

So while most people will choose rightly to have a private group, the whole point of the CLASSIFIEDS is to enhance your visibility and get you more members.

I don’t want you wasting your time posting about your group and having it only seen by the people inside this community (as wonderful as they are!).

On the flip side, make sure groups you are in where you are posting sensitive information are private?
