The secret to sustainable organization isn't discipline.
It's design.
When you design your environment to make the right choice the easiest choice, you don't need willpower.
Examples:
- Put a beautiful basket exactly where you drop your keys → you'll use it
- Put a small trash can exactly where junk mail lands → you'll toss it
- Put your journal on your pillow → you'll see it at bedtime
- Make your "decision deferred" container more beautiful than your clutter piles → you'll use it
Your environment should work WITH your automatic brain, not require you to constantly override it.
This is core to how I design spaces for clients—we remove friction and add strategic cues so maintaining clarity feels effortless instead of exhausting.
