The map feature in our communities is a great way to see where everyone is based.
Even though it's not always an accurate or reliable representation of where someone is based, the map could help with easily finding people in the community close to you where you are at, or to simply have an idea where everyone is from.
But wouldn't it be great to make much better use of a feature like the map?
In the CLUES community we are experimenting with using the map to showcase the communities of our members outside of the community (see attached image), but also as part of the community culture. For example, we are considering to create different maps (or layers) zooming in on specific aspects (e.g. cultural differences among the members), themes or projects the members have in common, anything really!
Have you thought of alternative or additional ways to make use of the map? I am curious to find out!
