Important Update + A Little Life Behind the Scenes 💛
Hey everyone, I wanted to pop in and be honest with you… I know I haven’t been around as much the last little bit, and I’m sorry for that. Life has been full in the best (and slightly chaotic) way. I’ve been: • Working on some new designs (I can’t wait to show you!) • Getting ready for a craft show tomorrow • Helping with a special workshop at church • Hosting the speaker with my husband • And getting everything ready for our trip next week We’re heading to a conference and then spending some really special time with our daughter… including her baby shower for her first child. 🥰 So over the next little while, I’ll be a bit quieter—but not gone. I will pop in here and there because… let’s be honest… I love this community too much to stay away completely. In the meantime, you are in very good hands. If you need anything at all, please tag or message one of our amazing admins: 👉 @Julie Findleton 👉 @Ruby Dack 👉 @Paul Brown 👉 @Suzane Mesheau I trust them completely, and if something truly urgent comes up, they know how to reach me. Thank you for being the kind of community that supports each other, steps up, and keeps things going. That’s what makes this place so special. I’ll be back on Monday, May 11th and look forward to catching up with you all then 💛 Kim
Color Block Poncho
I finally finished it! And I really love how it turned out! I loved the poncho designs in the Classroom section, but I didn't want one that had the tubes/panels going horizontal. If I'd done a solid color, that would be fine, but I wanted to use this lovely LB Mandala yarn, and I knew there would be blocks of color. I figured vertical would be better with this width (Sentro 48) of tubes. I used the Addi 22 to make a tube I used as a collar/cowl, and attached it at the neckline. There are a couple minor changes I'd make if doing a second poncho like this, but nothing that drastically changes the look or fit. Just how I'd assemble it! I am also looking for some kind of embellishment for the front of the neckline. Possibly making an iCord belt as well. Hope you like my first real design and completed project!

The good and bad of craft shows...
So by some standards today's craft show was a complete bust - low attendance and no sales, but I never look at it that way. I had a lady who had bought two of the bunny bags with the plastic Easter Eggs with the positive sayings and one of @Ruby Dack little chick at the Easter show I did for her daughters tell me how much they loved it. They looked forward to each day finding an egg and reading what it said and it made a difference in their lives. To me that is a win. I also met some new people and had time to design these heart keychains which I will release in May.
