When I first started using the Addi 46, I just watched several YouTube videos looking for anything I thought I would like to make. In early May I started working on the pieces but couldn’t figure out how to sew it all together. On May 13th I tried the pieces on individually to see if I could get it right. Finally, I waited for @Deborah Lewis to host her 1st Addi Day. She watched the video - Hooded Cowl Tutorial by Lana Loux, then used stitch markers to put it together, then started the mattress stitch for me to complete. That was six days ago, and today I finally finished. Too large for me and too warm for DC weather, this is definitely being gifted to someone in Buffalo, NY. Now, I’m ready to continue with my original mission of making beanies, scarves, mittens, and maybe a few blankets.

Does anyone ever have a problem with the Geocci motor for the Addi machines? Mine keeps stopping for no apparent reason. Doesn’t matter what speed it is. Doesn’t matter what tension I have on the yarn, it happens even with there’s no tension. I have to shut it off wait a few minutes and then turn it back on, and even then it doesn’t always want to run again immediately.

Thanks to @Deborah Lewis for hosting your first Addi Day, @Julie Findleton and @Kim Thompson-Pinder for your videos on the mattress stitch, I finally finished the 3 in 1 - Neck Warmer / Face Warmer / Hoodie that I found on YouTube video from Shelley at Koala Knits and Knacks. However, after taking a picture, weighing, and getting ready to package, I asked myself, how in the world is anyone going to know how to wear this? That’s what is missing. Instructions or pics so they can see how to wear. At the end of the day though, I decided it won’t be necessary. I’ve decided to keep this one for myself.
