Bought myself the Caydo i-cord machine...
Yep. I did it. Got it all figured out, too. And now I have a six-foot i-cord! lol Not sure yet what to do with it, but I'm sure I'll think of something!

@Dd Stoller lol. My justification is being bored. I’m medically “retired” so I sometimes treat myself to toys to use in my crafts!

@Dd Stoller You might be onto something here! That could be great justification! 😆
First project
I completed the hat today. I actually had to start over because I came downstairs this morning and found one of my cats curled up and sleeping inside the center of the machine. He had pulled off a couple of stitches and the had come undone almost all the way back to the beginning. I guess he liked being surrounded by the yarn. It’s not perfect by any means, but I was able to hide the flaws easily because they were on the cinched ends of the tube. I’m sure I’ll improve with more practice, but this was a learning experience. Now I know how to better cinch and bind off the ends for a hat. 😊

That is so adorable! Love it!
Yay!
I just want to say how happy I am that I found this group. I’ve never been able to get this machine working without dropping stitches all the time. After watching the beginner lessons, I realized it’s probably the yarn, not me! Lol. I’ve managed to get about 60 rows done of the beginners hat. In those 60 rows, I have not dropped a single stitch yet! That makes me excited that I could actually use this machine that I bought about a year and a half ago! Thank you, Kim for your videos that simplify getting started! I really appreciate it!
Yay!
Today my hubby and I are celebrating 35 years of marriage.
I am so thankful for Ross and how he supports my crafting. He even picks up my yarn orders from Michael's for me. He BBQ'd a steak dinner for us just as the snowstorm started and now we are relaxing and watching a movie.
