I’m apologize I have been absent,although I have wanted to work on something with yarn we had a family member decide that he was done dealing with his life and I’m trying to get out of this depression and I think yarn is the only answer but it’s been extremely hard for me to get past this I did start crocheting something for my boss but I am so lost in my thoughts that I will probably have to start all over at some point… I’m not looking for sympathy but just some encouraging words and thoughts to help bring me out of this funk

I have bags of yarn. However, many have no labels so I wasn't sure if they would be enough for any complete project. I just figured I'll deal with whatever comes. 1. Cast on ✔ 2. Well, while making the first project, the hat from the classroom, I ran out of yarn somewhere between, I think, rows 80 - 90. I got to try my hand at changing yarn color/adding yarn. Since I had yarn left after making the first tube (practice test) which at some point around 84 rows the yarn snapped. I had dropped a stitch, looked away then went back to crank and it snapped. I don't know if it was caught on something or what but I just ended the time there. I used that remaining yarn to finish the hat but it still wasn't enough. 😂 I ended up using yarn from the tube itself since I'd not finished it off. These are all for practice so I don't mind undoing what I've made. Yarn changing ✔ 3. After getting to row 130, I saw a dropped stitch, no 2, right next to each other. So before casting off… I got to look up and try my hand at fixing dropped stitches. ✔ Cool. I'll see how it looks once I remove it from the machine. 😁 New skill ✔ ️ Maybe not for items I'll sell but a useful skill to know. Fix dropped stitch ✔ 4. I have just received the most wonderful gift I have ever had. It literally brought tears to my eyes 🩷. I don’t know how to thank you all enough for what you have done for me. You are all amazing and I feel so much love from each and everyone of you. When @Julie Findleton asked for my address I wouldn’t have imagined something so special being sent to me. Each and everyone of you will hold a special stitch in every item I make. I will make Delilah something from us all. As I feel she was born into this wonderful family as well. I’m sure we’re all a little similar in ways of, we probably do multiple crafts or have multiple hobbies. So what else do you all do, whether it’s just something to decompress or as a hobby. I do jigsaw puzzles and my favourite thing to do when having a me day or just decompress, is colour by numbers. Though sometimes that can be frustrating when I’m looking for a colour
