Hey guys, I’m getting my last set of injections next week and meeting with a new Dr who is using the newest technology for reducing OSA, obstructive sleep apnea. I was initially diagnosed in 2011 and tried every mask and hose combination to no avail. Note to Keith: I received your message and truly appreciate your suggestions. I’ve still suffered with the OSA when I was in the best shape in my adult years, so my weight was ruled out as a direct cause. I have gone through all of the latest testing with an In-lab sleep study after 1st doing a home study which was not very accurate, for anyone who ever needs a sleep study. The lab study confirmed I’m still in the severe category. I also had surgery last year to open up my airways of the nose. I had previous surgery many years ago to fix my airway from the many times I broke my nose during my hockey and football career. I also had to have an endoscopy to make sure I was a candidate for the Inspire technology, which I was proven to be a valid candidate. I’m seeing the new Dr next week for a new technology that is much less invasive, called the Genio. It is surgically placed under the chin and has two electrodes for each side of the tongue. It sends electrical signals to the tongue to move whenever the tongue falls back and shuts off my airway and I can’t breathe. Take my word for it that this method is much less complicated than the Inspire technology.
Depending what happens with the appointment and if it makes sense to get that surgery will determine if I can start lifting the following week or if I have to wait till after the surgery. Assuming I can start in just over a week, can anyone help with a full body workout for 1 day on two days off schedule for a home workout routine with dumbbells and a home adjustable bench. I also have various bands to supplement for those exercises I may not be able to do with the dumbbells. I will definitely have to start very light to ease my body back into a life of resistance training.
I did go through the various information provided and I didn’t find anything with a full body workout. I appreciate any help or guidance.
Take care,
Phil
