Let me ask you something most men won't admit out loud.
How much is alcohol actually costing you? Not in dollars. In results. I see it constantly. Men in this community training hard, eating reasonably well, doing everything right , and then wondering why the scale isn't moving, why recovery feels off, why sleep isn't restoring them. A lot of the time the answer is in the glass. Alcohol after 40 hits differently. It disrupts your sleep architecture, you might be in bed eight hours and still waking up unrecovered. It spikes inflammation, which is already elevated as we age. It tanks testosterone. It slows metabolism. And it makes every single nutritional decision harder the next day. I'm not here to tell you never to enjoy yourself. That's not the Built Different message. But I am telling you to be honest with yourself about what it's actually doing to your results. I cut it out. Not because someone told me to, because I did the experiment myself and the difference in my recovery, my sleep, my energy, and my body composition was not subtle. That's the data. What you do with it is your choice. Be honest with me, how often are you drinking, and do you think it's affecting your progress more than you're willing to admit? Drop it below. No judgment in here. Just honesty. 👇

Food
Hey guys, i started thinking about how important health food is to me. And although I have been cooking all my life and It is 1 of my wife and my favorite hobbies maybe you all would like a few ideas. I won't even start to say I dont love me some sweets, but healthy easy food is possible. Here is a link to 1 of our favorite dinners. If you make the dressing with half sour cream and half plain yogurt you save some calories. Even a busy family can make and enjoy this. Good morning Keith. As I'm sure you are flooded with questions I'll try to be brief. Since the beginning of following you I am inspired. The only thing missing in my opinion, is good food suggestions and recipes. I was a chef for 30 ys before I was able to retire from that and follow 1 of my passions. I believe food is not an enemy and can be one of the most exciting parts of our journey. My wife and I cook as our favorite hobby. I think healthy eating g is paramount and doesn't need to be complicated. Would love to chat further about this if it fits at all I to your platform. Sorry to drone on but I think it's relative.
Salad for a week!
My wife & I go through this much salad in a week. After we make a batch, I’m always amazed how big the pile is! But we finished it all. Plus she makes roasted vegetables for our diners. So tasty. Salad ingredients: Red & green leaf lettuce, Spinach, arugula, kale, green onion, & celery. My giant mixed green salad for lunch: Start with big bowl of salad above, add chopped bell pepper, cucumber, cosmic crisp apple, strawberries, flaxseed meal, nutritional yeast, salt & pepper, Splenda, olive oil & rice vinegar. Very healthy & filling!
