Had to follow upy Red Tobacco battle with something really good. Went to go visit my 101yr old grandpa, then went to dinner with wife and my mom. Back to the frag, this such a beautiful take on coffee and rose. To me, this actually edges out French Defense on my MG list.

I purchased Journey after testing on skin at NM, however, this is no longer sold by them Iso I grabbed this online. It is one of my favorite Amouage fragrances. This fragrance opens with a burst of spicy black pepper and cardamom, accompanied by bright citrus notes of bergamot, bitter orange, and neroli. Initially, it's quite dry with very little sweetness from the citrus notes, making it instantly invigorating. As it settles, the tobacco and especially the frankincense resin become more prominent, while the citruses fade. The spiciness remains strong, with cardamom eventually outshining the black pepper, giving the fragrance a more masculine vibe. Throughout the dry down, the spiciness and resinous notes persist, but the scent becomes smoother, enriched by smooth leather and the sweet warmth of Tonka Bean. The cypriol adds a hint of smokiness and complexity. This is definitely not a generic fragrance; anyone with a trained nose will easily distinguish it from others. Although it carries the Amouage DNA, it has its unique flair, making a statement without being too loud. On my skin, the performance was good, but it's not an overpowering scent. Scent: 8/10 Sillage: 7.5/10 Longevity: 7.5/10 It might not be the safest blind buy, but it's definitely worth testing if you're a fan of the brand.
