I’m looking to expand my horizon beyond my current favorites. As many of you know, I'm a big fan of Dua for that raw power and Alexandria for their solid recreations. However, I’ve had several people tell me that Mirror Image Fragrances is the house to look into if I want something "smoother" and better blended. I actually joined the Mirror Image Facebook group recently to do some research. I introduced myself and asked some genuine questions about the brand, but honestly... I just got bombarded by fanboys. It was hard to get a straight answer between all the hype! 😅 So, I’m bringing the question here to the "unbiased" crew: - The "Smooth" Factor: For those of you who have tried all three (Dua, Alexandria, and Mirror Image), is the blending truly more refined? Does it lack that "sharp" opening Dua can sometimes have? - Top Recommendations: I’m hearing a lot of noise about Imaginary Tea Party (Imagination clone), Royal Angel (Kilian Angel's Share), and Fat Boy (Hybrid). Are these the ones to start with? - Performance: I love a "beast mode" scent. Can Mirror Image keep up with Dua’s longevity, or do they sacrifice that 10+ hour power for the smoother scent profile? - I’m thinking about picking up a few for a future "House vs. House" Face-Off video. If you’ve got experience with them, let me know your Top 3 and how they stack up against your favorite!

Scent of a horrible day. Sorry for the late post. I brought this decant out today to evaluate. This fragrance definitely carries the Amouage DNA with the frankincense and myrh. Where QB shows his own style is the creamy vanilla cedar and patchouli blended in with the rest of the notes. Not a frag I would call progressive in development along the dry down because it maintains a relatively linear scent profile. This is not to say this isn’t a quality fragrance at all. I find it excellent warm and comforting. Projection and sillage were ok. Longevity strangely was not great and only ok. Decision became a skin scent on me after about 4-5 hours. The hard part for me here is while I give it a solid 8.2/10, it’s not FBW for me. Why? Because I feel I have other options that are better from Amouage. Be well and safe all. Thoughts brothers?
