Good morning Frag Fam and happy Monday. Chicago is treating us a little kinder today with temps climbing into the 40s, a welcome change to start the week on a positive note. Today I’m stepping a bit out of my norm with a decant of Rayhaan Terra. As we all know, this one takes inspiration from Amouage Outlands, a fragrance I’ve tested twice and personally found lackluster due to its harsh, overly dirty opening.
Rayhaan Terra, however, hits very differently for me. It comes across richer and more earthy without ever feeling dirty or abrasive. The citrus in the opening is smooth and well rounded, setting a balanced tone right from the start. As it develops, it transitions beautifully into spicy yet floral mids where the geranium really shines, and that note is something I truly love here. The base is resinous and aromatic, tying everything together and giving the fragrance a polished, complete feel. At its price point, this is absolutely full bottle worthy in my book. Solid 8.5 out of 10 and a great way to kick off the week.
