SOTD: Michael Malul Sea+Zephyr

Warmer today than it has been the past couple of weeks. Went with this fresh aromatic frag.

It starts off with a nice grapefruit and eucalyptus mix with a hint of basil and apple. The grapefruit and eucalyptus definitely run the show for the first 20-25 mins before being overpowered by the lavender, rosemary and sage. I don’t detect any neroli (I’m not mad about it). The aromatics lasted about 1.5 hours and the grapefruit was still in the background.

The dry down is a pleasant mixture of oak moss, cedar and musk. No detectable patchouli for me maybe because the oak moss is strong.

The frag has some resemblance to Pacific Rock Moss but only in the dry down.

Performance is not bad for the first 3 hours where I get about 1 foot of projection. After that it turned into a closer scent for another 2. When going in and out of my house it seems to reactivate a bit.

I didn’t have this one over the summer so I’m guessing it’ll do better in high heat. We shall see.
