Gooooood morning brotherhood!!!
Today I’m going with a new acquisition to my Mancera collection. I was a little skeptical on picking this one up as some of the reviews said they had a “Urinal cake” smell and tbh if you really try to put your mind on smelling that, yeah you can pick up notes of lavender and aquatics that can have similar vibes but it’s not a pi$$ soaked urinal cake vibe… I mean they make it smell good on purpose right?? Okay with that out of the way, here’s my take on it.
It opens with a blast of soapy, clean freshness with a slight green edge, though it fades a bit quickly in my opinion but it was great that I am a heavy sprayer and benefits from a generous application. It’s a blue frag after all. As it dries down, powdery orris and soft violet add a creamy touch while subtle woods begin to emerge. The fragrance develops into a deeper, woody leaning freshness with hints of creaminess and a light touch of vanilla.
Projection is moderate, making it very office friendly and as a matter of fact, I received a compliment at work from another frag head. Longevity is your typical Mancera long lasting fragrance and I got a solid 8-9 hours of detectable wear which is not very common for a blue fragrance, but I feel the woody and creamy notes allow it to last a little longer.
Overall, it’s an easy grab and go scent with a unique take on a “blue” fragrance that feels fresh, creamy, and gently warm all at once.
I recommend this one if you are looking for a different take on a blue fragrance!
Have a blessed day everyone..
