SOTD – Jubilation XXV by Amouage

Hello brotherhood!

Today I am trying out the beloved Jubilation XXV by the house of Amouage.

Ill start off by saying this is an absolutely beautiful fragrance offering a fruity, slightly sweet, yet deep nuance with a bit of spice. Its a classy fragrance that can definitely be used as someone’s signature scent. My overall take on it is that I do love the honey note in it as it is one of the many notes that I can detect in it. Given the vast amount of notes listed, Bertrand Duchaufour did a fantastic job of blending this fragrance. Off the rip I get a sweet juicy fruit and dry notes of wood. Its very hard to pinpoint any single ingrediant as like I said its very well blended.

Very office friendly as it is not overbearing by any means. It’s pleasant yet masculine and by the testing of it, it can be used year-round. It’s not a projection monster so It works well when around others that may be sensitive to strong fragrances but the longevity is above average getting me roughly 7 hours of wearability. Granted I do a lot of physical work, so my body heat pushes fragrances off of my body like Pig Pen from Peanut’s Charlie Brown.

I really like this fragrance after giving it some time but almost dismissed it as it wasn’t very potent… I put my initial feelings aside and gave it some time and man this fragrance does it for me. Absolutely beautiful.

Top: Blackberry, Olibanum, Labdanum, Orange, Coriander and Tarragon

Mid: Honey, Guaiac Wood, Cinnamon, Clove, Bay Leaf, Rose, Orchid and Celery Seeds

Base: Opoponax, Agarwood (Oud), Myrrh, Patchouli, Ambergris, Musk, Cedar, Immortelle and Oakmoss.
