Armaf Edition Eleven (11) Acqua Tua is one of the more obscure, hidden-gem releases from the house, often flying under the radar compared to their massive Club de Nuit line.
The Scent Profile & Notes
Acqua Tua is built as an aromatic aquatic fragrance that trades heavy, syrupy sweetness for a crisp, mineral-fresh vibe.
Top Notes: Bergamot, Grapefruit, Sea Salt, and Ozone. (It opens very bright, sharp, and salty—almost like cold ocean air mixing with zesty citrus).
Middle Notes: Lavender, Sage, and Ginger. (The mid introduces a clean, slightly spicy, herbal barbershop texture that keeps it grounded).
Base Notes: Ambroxan, Patchouli, Musk, and Driftwood. (The dry-down is heavy on clean musk and that signature radiating ambroxan warmth).
Performance: Longevity & Sillage
Fresh fragrances are notorious for vanishing after a couple of hours, but Armaf generally pumps up their concentrations. Acqua Tua performs surprisingly well for an aquatic scent.
Longevity: 6–8 hours. It holds onto skin remarkably well, mostly because the heavy ambroxan and musk base anchors the lighter citrus and marine notes.
Sillage & Projection: Moderate to Strong. For the first 1.5 to 2 hours, it creates a very noticeable scent bubble around you (about arm's length). It leaves a crisp, clean trail (sillage) when you walk past people, eventually settling into a consistent, intimate skin scent after the 4-hour mark.
Best Occasions
This is a utility player for warm weather. It is incredibly versatile.
Season: Spring and Summer (absolute heat-killer).
Vibe: Casual daywear, gym sessions, running errands, or a relaxed outdoor date night. It’s also incredibly safe for the workplace or office because it just smells like high-end, crisp shower gel rather than a heavy, offensive clubbing scent.
