SOTD: Argos - Neptunes Trident

One of my favorite hot weather scents, and it had the perfect opportunity to shine today. It hit 117° here in Phoenix.

To me, it’s in the same family as Wulong Cha X, but it isn’t nearly as linear and more ocean vibe. The drydown is where Neptune’s Trident really separates itself. It starts off very very bright and tea forward with a coastal resort and salty air vibe to it, settling down softly into its base after 4-5 hours.

Lately I’ve been making a conscious effort to spray more than usual. Partly because I enjoy it, but also because I realized I’ve spent way too long worrying about overspraying.

Well… today I went with 9.5 sprays. Yes, 9.5. Then I headed out to run errands. In the past, 5 to 7 sprays of this fragrance hadn’t gotten much attention, so I figured a couple extra wouldn’t hurt, especially in this kind of heat.

My first stop was the post office. While the clerk was scanning my package, she stopped mid conversation and said, “By the way, you smell really good.” We chatted for another minute about the Arizona heat and how quickly fragrances disappear. She never said it was too much or overpowering. She just said she really liked it.

Spray away, gentlemen. Especially with the freshies.
