I wore these two fragrances this weekend to rate them on scent and performance and here are the results based on my experience.
Bvlgari Man Rain Essence: The opening is citrus with a touch of a Green Tea note. At 15 minutes I am still getting the citrus but now I am also picking up on some powdery/floral accords from the heart notes. At 30 minutes the woods started to appear and the scent profile is turning. At 60 minutes into the wear the scent is warm and creamy with hints of woods and slightly animalic. At dry down, the scent has settled down nicely and although not a powerhouse it is present and a nice skin scent. The longevity as a skin scent was actually suprising at arounf 4 to 5 hours. Projection at the opening was not great, but this is definitely a subtle fragrance that does not project strongly off the skin but stays very close to the skin.
Bvlgari Man Glacial Essence: Opening is fresh and spice coming from the Juniper Berried and Ginger. At 15 minutes I have stopped smelling some of the spiciness and the fragrance has softened up to a more creamy scent. At 30 minutes into the wear the fragrance has dissipated significantly. Although I can still pick up on the scent (now getting a soft Sandalwood), it is very light. 60 minutes in, the fragrance is a sweet and woody scent that sits very close to the skin. It is a very nice scent but does not project past 30 minutes into the wear. At around 90 minutes I could no longer pick up on the scent and I sprayed 4 sprays from a sample vile. This would only be good for a gym scent for a workout that would last around 90 minutes.
