Fragrance Deals - pt.1 Gentleman Givenchy EDT Intense
INTRODUCTION
-------------------------
Not too long ago, I went shopping with my wife in the Netherlands and had an opportunity to buy fragrances at HUGE discounts.
(Keep in mind that most were testers)
So, arriving in the Netherlands, I looked at a booth of Douglas and saw Gentleman Givenchy EDT Intense... a Givenchy I'd never smelled before.
Right after smelling it, I knew I had to buy it.
It's like Dior Homme Eau and Gentleman Boisee had a child.
And if that wasn't reason enough to buy it, it came with a 55Euro price tag for a full 100ml bottle

REVIEW
-------------
If you've seen my posts before, you know I'm pretty unique when it comes to my way of describing a scent...
**Examples: wet metal plate, dust covered with maple syrup, burlap bag full of grain, etc.**
But I will say Fragrantica nailed its "toothpaste-like freshness" by listing it as having basil and cypress notes.
Besides the extremely fresh opening, it dries down into a very strong powdery (almost dusty) iris scent.
And even though it's not listed as a prominent note, the cedar is STRONG with this one.

OVERALL
---------------
This is definitely a one-of-a-kind fragrance that separates itself from all other darker scents by having a fresh aspect to it.
Givenchy EDT Intense can be worn on every cold day, but shines if you have a formal party, high-end job, or want to be seen as "casual old-money" confident.
I'd rate it 8/10 for versatility, uniqueness, and character
