A New Kind of L’Homme
This post is for brothers like myself, who enjoy layering. This morning I experimented with a quick shower using a bergamot scented shower gel, dried off, and then spritzed on Prada L’Homme EDT.
Now, L’Homme isn’t dull by any stretch. It’s polished, powdery, and sort of classically structured, but the iris, violet, and geranium notes don’t usually do it for me. Today to my pleasant surprise, the bergamot changed everything. It calmed the iris and violet, smoothed out the geranium, and gave the fragrance a smoother, more balanced presence. Suddenly, L’Homme felt approachable in a way I rarely experience it, refined but more…well, a new kind of L'Homme. Give me the clean soapy vibe, just not all the powder.
Even fragrances you normally bypass can reveal a surprising side with the right layering. To my brothers who enjoy layering as I do, has anyone else used a simple twist to transform a scent they usually avoid?
