Meet Your Menopause Superpower: Your Liver
Most women don’t realize how the body adapts as the ovaries begin producing less estrogen. The adrenal glands continue producing hormones that the body can convert into small amounts of estrogen, while the liver helps process hormones and supports metabolism. The adrenal glands need rest and vitamin C. Support your liver with dark leafy greens, beets, artichokes, berries, whole grains, healthy fats and plenty of water. Limit alcohol, fried and ultra-processed foods, and unnecessary exposure to pesticides, herbicides and harsh chemicals. Hot water with the juice of half a lemon freshly squeezed first thing in the morning can support the liver,. (if you do this often, it might be good to rinse your mouth after to protect the teeth enamel) Which liver-supporting choice will you make this week?

Why Weight Can Change During Perimenopause & Menopause
As ovulation begins to decline during perimenopause, estrogen drops and FSH rises. This often begins in a woman’s 40s—and sometimes in her late 30s. These hormonal changes can affect weight in several connected ways: 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀: Less lean muscle can slow your metabolism and reduce the number of calories your body burns. 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝘁: Fat may begin accumulating around your abdomen rather than your hips and thighs. 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿: Changes in insulin sensitivity and appetite regulation can increase hunger, encourage fat storage and make it harder to use stored fat for energy. 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗹: Elevated insulin and ongoing stress can increase cortisol, contributing to blood-sugar imbalances and abdominal weight gain. 𝗣𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽: Hormonal changes can disrupt sleep, affecting hunger hormones, food choices and glucose tolerance. 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Declining estrogen may increase inflammation and interfere with signals involved in appetite and metabolism. 𝗚𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮: Lower estrogen may reduce the diversity of beneficial gut bacteria, affecting digestion and weight regulation. This is why weight gain during perimenopause is not simply about willpower. But there is so much you can do, be sure to catch these talks during the summit! Check the calendar tab above and add these talks to your own calendar! Which of these changes have you noticed?

The best kind of salt
Table salt is made white and dry through a multi-step process of purification, vacuum evaporation, mechanical dewatering, thermal drying, and the addition of anti-caking agents. This kind of salt is found in all processed packaged foods and is not good for you and not good if you have high blood pressure. Natural sun-dried sea salt is harvested in Brittany France and laid out in the sun to dry. It is the healthiest salt you can eat because it is not processed and it is actually good for high blood pressure. Just natural healthy salt, which is lightly gray in colour and moist. Sun-dried sea salt retains several trace minerals that are stripped away during the heavy processing and refining of regular table salt. While both types of salt are primarily sodium chloride, unrefined sea salt contains small, natural traces of: - Magnesium - Calcium - Potassium - Iron - Zinc - Manganese - Sulfur - Fluorine/Bromide Salt is good for you if it has color. Pink Himalayan salt is also good, but this is better. https://www.skool.com/bodytypology/classroom/da38ad35?md=b49c7e160ae54452b700c38884a8b049 I have a whole section in the classroom about healthy foods… 😀

Add essential fatty acids from foods such as salmon, nuts and seeds. 3. Dry brush your skin gently to remove dead skin cells. 4. Ask your doctor to check your thyroid levels, especially if the dryness is persistent. 5. Support your liver by eating plenty of dark leafy greens. 6.
