Breakfast observations
Interesting … I tried to have a small bowl of glutenfree cereal with milk for breakfast, or some greek yoghurt with a banana, tahini and a teaspoon of honey - instead of my usual bulletproof coffee. I have breakfast around 8 am. What I‘m noticing is: around 11 am I‘m very hungry and it seems to give me cravings for sweet things. Especially on cereal days. Green yoghurt last much longer and doesn’t give me the sweet tooth as much. If I have a bulletproof coffee (with a scoop of collagen protein), I don’t have any cravings at all and get hungry around 1 or 2 pm, and more for substantial food, like chicken and veggies. What does this want to teach me in terms of me being a Gaia?

Everyone has to find what works for them. There are many reasons for cravings. And also feeling hungry earlier I always asked. What did you have for dinner the night before? And what did you have for lunch the night before, often the answer is something small and light which will mean that we are hungrier the next day. There are so many different factors around this. It’s hard to figure it out.
Never Skip a Meal
Think skipping a meal will help with weight loss? It can actually make things harder—especially after 40. Here are 3 things that can happen when you skip meals: 1️⃣ Your metabolism can slow down as your body tries to conserve energy. 2️⃣ Your body may become more likely to store energy when food finally arrives. 3️⃣ You can get overly hungry later, making it much harder to make the choices you normally would. I don't know about you, but when I go too long without eating, I can't eat fast enough and I over eat. What do you notice most when you go too long without eating—low energy, cravings, or feeling extra hungry later?

@Benita Königbauer yum!
How do you manage your stress?
This is a question I ask my clients and some of the answers I get are… I yell at my kids! or I drink alcohol. I eat, why do you think I hired you? All kidding aside... Stress causes elevated levels of cortisol and inflammatory conditions in the body. This can lead to constant cravings and put your body into a fat storage mode. It is essential to learn how to better manage your stress. What do you do to manage your stress?

What body type are you?
Have you taken the body type quiz, you can find it in the classroom. Does the description / personality of your body type fit?

@Pam Klecan it is so challenging when we don’t get enough sleep. I am trying to stay off screens for a few hours before bed and I find that helps. I also just started getting up early and going outside too be in the sun or in the daylight, which is supposed to help the circadian rhythms… We shall see if it helps, it didn’t help last night…🙄

@Sandy Robb ahhh, sorry to hear that, it must've been hard to lose your mom when she was still quite young. What I try to do is I drink a whole lot of water all morning long and then some in the afternoon and slow down at night so I don't have to get up to pee as often.
