Someone made a post about me, saying that I was a scam (and that career coaches were too)
My first reaction wasn’t anger. It was curiosity. Because comments like that usually come from somewhere: a bad experience, a misunderstanding of what coaching actually is, or frustration with the industry as a whole. And to be fair, the online world has created a lot of noise. So I understand why some people feel skeptical. But I’ve also seen the other side of this work. Clients landing roles they thought were out of reach. Professionals finally learning how to position themselves. People changing the trajectory of their careers because someone helped them execute. I shared my full thoughts on this in the video attached. I’d actually be curious to hear your perspective after watching it. What do you think separates a great career coach from someone who’s just selling promises?

Great video. I concur with all the points here.
Spring is usually when people clean their houses.
But it’s also a good time to clean something else: your systems. When you’re building a coaching business, it’s easy to focus only on effort. Posting more. Networking more. Trying more ideas. But effort without systems usually turns into frustration. Because if you want to hit your goals this year, it’s not just about motivation. It’s about whether the structure behind your work actually supports those goals. So this season is a good moment to pause and audit. Ask yourself: 🌱 Do I have a clear system for getting leads? 🌱 Do I have a consistent system for posting and showing up on LinkedIn? 🌱 Do I have a way to track conversations and follow-ups? 🌱 Do I know exactly what metrics matter right now? 🌱 If I repeated my current process for the next 90 days, would it realistically get me to my goal? Most of the time the issue isn’t effort. It’s that the system underneath the effort is incomplete. And this community is here to help with that. So as we move into this “spring check-in,” take a moment to look at the structure of your business, not just the activity. Because the right systems make everything else easier.

I get asked this a lot. And the truth is, 2026 is going to be a big year for career coaches. The industry is changing, and if you’re not ready, you might be left behind. Here’s what’s coming: 1. Personal branding will be more important than ever: With AI becoming a bigger part of the job market, standing out will come down to how well you’ve built your personal brand. People don’t connect with algorithms; they connect with people. 2. Building community and accountability will be essential: Strategy alone won’t cut it. You need to build a community that supports each other, and create accountability systems that push clients to take action and get results. 3. Understanding your clients’ successes and failures is a game changer: Look at your most successful clients and your struggling ones. What are the patterns? What works, and what doesn’t? Use those insights to refine your coaching programs and double down on what gets results. The landscape is shifting fast, and now’s the time to prepare. I want to hear from you. I agree with this. You have to differentiate yourself more. Futureproofing yourself means you are not to be like other persons in your field, and you do not sound like the AI.
