And the truth is, 2026 is going to be a big year for career coaches.

The industry is changing, and if you’re not ready, you might be left behind.

1. Personal branding will be more important than ever: With AI becoming a bigger part of the job market, standing out will come down to how well you’ve built your personal brand.

People don’t connect with algorithms; they connect with people.

2. Building community and accountability will be essential: Strategy alone won’t cut it. You need to build a community that supports each other, and create accountability systems that push clients to take action and get results.

3. Understanding your clients’ successes and failures is a game changer: Look at your most successful clients and your struggling ones. What are the patterns? What works, and what doesn’t?

Use those insights to refine your coaching programs and double down on what gets results.
