Others build very successful practices without one. The reason this conversation is tricky is because career coaching sits in an unusual space. Traditional coaching training focuses on conversation, self-discovery, and helping someone find their own answers. But a lot of career coaching is different. You’re helping someone land a job. Position themselves in the market. Prepare for interviews. Negotiate offers. There’s a strategic and tactical element to it. And in most cases, clients aren’t asking about credentials. They’re asking: Have you helped someone like me? Do you have a process? Can you help me get results?
