Level 0 to 9
Towards the end of my postgrad studies, I had a sudden surge of interest in fragrances. After a few days of exploring the internet, I came across one of Antonio’s videos where he spoke about his community. I remember thinking, “Huh, this brotherhood of scent sounds interesting.” At the time, I was pretty clueless. My collection consisted of YSL Y EDP, Bvlgari Rain Essence, Bath & Body Works Ocean, and Mahogany Teakwood. I joined the community fully expecting to stay a lurker, just observing what people thought about different fragrances. I rarely commented, though I did make a few posts asking for recommendations. That alone opened the door to the world of samples and decants, and I ordered a handful. That moment officially marked the start of my fragrance discovery journey. Initially, I shared short, casual descriptions of fragrances I tried from time to time. Soon after, I started visiting stores and testing scents on strips. I did this more and more, which helped me refine my taste and decide which samples to pick up next. For the first few months, the community itself was still secondary to me. The real turning point, or the foundation if I may call it that, was @Julio Gutierrez. He was the first BOS member I met in real life. Super kind, incredibly knowledgeable, and generous enough to offer me a bunch of samples I would never have tried, some I had never even heard of. Those fragrances genuinely expanded my horizons and helped me understand just how deep this world goes. His parting words were simple: “Try to be more active.” I listened, and that changed everything. Since then, I have become far more active, earned my flame, and developed real friendships and strong bonds with many of the brothers here: @Aditya Choksi , @Thomas Chavez , @Edward Mooney, @Jonathan Ventura , @Steve Louis , @Raymond Reeves , @Lon Chaneyfield , @Brett Sutton , @Adeel Arif , @Blake Merl , @Paul Bartnicki , @Justin Tillery , @Dave Anderson , @Jeff Beason and many more. I genuinely could not have reached level 9 without you all.

Post Shower Review: Afnan Supremacy in Oud
I sprayed Afnan Supremacy in Oud right after my shower tonight, and it instantly filled the room. Fresh out of the shower, my skin was clean and warm, and this fragrance wasted no time making its presence known. The opening hit me with that bold, smoky oud mixed with saffron and spice. It’s dark, rich, and slightly sweet, but never messy. It feels confident and powerful right from the first spray. As it settled on my skin, the fragrance became smoother and more balanced. The oud stays front and center, but it’s wrapped in a creamy, almost resinous warmth that makes it very wearable. This is where the similarity to Oud for Glory is undeniable. If you’ve smelled Oud for Glory, you’ll immediately recognize the DNA here—deep oud, saffron spice, and that luxurious Middle Eastern vibe. Supremacy in Oud feels just a touch smoother and slightly less sharp to my nose, but they live in the same family without question. An hour or so in, it turns even richer and warmer. The woody notes deepen, and there’s a subtle sweetness that keeps it from feeling harsh or overly dry. It smells expensive, bold, and confident—definitely not a background scent. This is the kind of fragrance that makes you feel put together even if you’re just relaxing at home for the night. Ratings: - Scent: 9/10 - Sillage: 8.5/10 - Longevity: 9.5/10 Overall, Afnan Supremacy in Oud is a strong, long-lasting oud fragrance that delivers big performance and serious presence. If you enjoy Oud for Glory, this one will feel very familiar and very satisfying. It’s bold, masculine, and perfect for nights when you want to smell powerful and confident.
