Today’s CYC meeting was so lit. 🔥
Being a part of this community continues to push me to share my story, resources & how I can help others be their best! I am so grateful for the momentum and energy that pours into me from our community and time together sharing stories and more! Part of my journey is me sharing how I can help others so as soon as I jumped off of our CYC meeting I jumped onto canva to create a simple flyer for my nutrition coaching that I’ve been holding off on (why …because I’ve been doubting myself! And sharing about this next part) No more of that! I know what I have to offer! So I’m sharing with the group for anyone who might want to chat more about it, or if you know of others that might benefit from it feel free to share! 🐬🐬🐬✨ more so than that I’m sharing for my own accountability! Momentum Mondays
🔥 Mondays aren’t just the start of the week.. they’re the momentum builders! 🚀The same way a rocket uses most of its fuel just to break through the atmosphere, we use most of our energy on Mondays to break through resistance. Once we get lift-off, the rest of the week runs smoother. 🧠 Studies show that what we do on Monday sets a “cognitive anchor” for our habits the next six days. If we start sloppy, our brain normalizes sloppy. If we start structured, our brain expects structuctute. 😂 Hit the snooze on Monday and suddenly Tuesday feels like a sequel nobody asked for. When we show up on Monday with intention, Tuesday through Sunday start playing follow-the-leader. 🐬 That’s why tomorrow matters. Two chances to lock in momentum: – 10 a.m. EST — CYC Tuesday Zoom – 6 p.m. EST — CY Challenfe zoom Join both zooms to contribute to the growth of others and your future self! ⚡ Energy multiplies when we choose ourselves early. Weekend Foundation
🔥 Our foundation is what keeps us grounded when life gets loud. A full foundation (60 min) sets the tone. A mini-foundation (10–20 min) keeps the flame alive even on the weekend. Both matter. Both count. Both are key to consistency. ✨ The pillars of the foundation: - Curfew / Kick-Out Time - Digital Sunset - Read in bedtime - Wake-Up Time - Morning Routine - First Commitment / Digital Sunrise 💡 Then there are the 3 non-negotiables .. the daily reps that can’t be skipped. You get to choose yours, but they must be locked in even on rest days. Options include: 🏋🏽 Exercise / stretch 🧘🏽 Meditation / Prayer / Spiritual practice 🧊 Cold shower / breathwork 📖 Reading / journaling 🌱 Clean meal prep 🙏 Gratitude reflection / Volunteer Even if it’s a rest day, we still protect the mini-foundation and our 3 non-negotiables. Because rest without structure isn’t rest, it’s just regression. 🐬 Consistency is the flex. When do dopamine receptors reset?
Some studies show it starts in a few days, others say weeks but here’s the key: every single day you cut the quick hits, your brain begins to heal. 🐬 By Day 5, the fog is lifting. The cravings are loud, but so is your clarity. Your system is relearning what real energy feels like without fake stimulation. ✨ Every notification, every vice, every shortcut… they’ve been training your brain to expect constant reward. This challenge is about training your brain to be satisfied with discipline, focus, and presence. 💭 So instead of asking “when will my dopamine reset?” ask: “What am I building today that future me will thank me for?” let’s grow!! 🫡🐬 Hakeem

Change starts with focus
💪🏽In the beginning of the Challenge, resistance isn’t about fighting cravings with willpower, it’s about changing what we give our attention to. When we redirect our focus, we weaken the old pattern. That’s the first rep of resilience. 🌊 But then the waves hit. The environment gets loud. The urges get sneaky. The thoughts get heavy. This is where compassion and grace matter most. Because beating ourselves up doesn’t speed recovery… systems do. ⚙️ A morning foundation, hydration, movement, reflection…these aren’t small tasks. They’re anchors. ” Resistance isn’t about never falling; it’s about shortening the time it takes to stand back up. 🐬 Every time we recover quicker, we build resilience deeper. And every time we show ourselves grace, we prove that choosing ourselves isn’t about punishment… it’s about perseverance. How quickly are you willing to forgive yourself and choose again the next time you slip? This doesn’t mean give yourself room to relapse but it means be prepared for the uncontrollables. For me, it’s about forgiving myself right away and choosing again without sitting in guilt. This challenge is different then the first, I feel it in my body and mind!
