Wins from last week?
Mondays can be rough. What wins do you have from last week?

Hey congratulations on the new job!! Curious to hear how this first week pans out! It sounds exciting. Wins for last week - I sold a last minute consulting day and secured 2 meetings, 1 with a potential investor or introducer, and 1 with a potential client. (Tesla Switzerland)

@Billy Daniel we shall see. The manager likes it so I’ve gotta win her as a champion and see what the path to becoming a supplier is like in Tesla. If anyone here knows how to become a preferred supplier in Tesla works I would be very grateful for your insight!
Do you remember your first "light bulb" moment?
Several trainers I talk to say they love it when they can see the "light bulb turn on" when they are teaching someone something new. It's very intoxicating and I know many of you have experienced those moments. Comment below and share your favorite light bulb moment!

This is probably a little different to other people, but our BODY stores a lot of memories. Good and bad ones. I was helping a manager, prepare for an event that he was leading, but he felt under-confident. We took time to remember different experiences where he had had success and then we pocketed those bodily feelings that he felt while succeeding. We then practiced retrieving those feelings when he needed them. The result was fantastic and he was very lit up the next time we spoke. It wasn’t a live eurica moment, but there was massive learning from him.

@Billy Daniel It definitely felt empowering. I would lie if I said I didn't like the personal feeling when someone is impacted by my intervention - and at the same time, I don't chase that. But it felt great!
Welcome! Start here!
I am excited to start this new community for instructional designers, corporate trainers, adult educators, and other L&D professionals! This is meant to be a space where we can share ideas, problems, and best practices to help us in the day-to-day tasks we face in our professional lives. Please take a moment to comment on this post with your name, a little about your job, and what brought you to this community! I'll start. I'm Billy, and I currently work as an independent training specialist with a focus on nuclear energy and the oil/gas industry. I created this community because I think there are so many people out there with great ideas when it comes to training, and I wanted a supportive place where we can share those ideas!

I am Stuart. I help companies scale workforce emotional intelligence. B2C, I am launching a Skool community to help men develop their emotional intelligence and become a safe space. (Both topics I am passionate about) I joined this group because I am interested in the topic of L&D and want to learn more about how it functions within different industries. (Procurement, value prop, budgets etc) If there is something I can share, I would also be keen to add value! I want to learn and connect with others, and am open to making new business contacts, collaborations and developing commercial partnerships.

@Billy Daniel thank you! I’ve always created my own stuff so I’m probably limited in my experience. My main products have been helping companies, develop social intelligence, specifically around English language fluency. There is a very real group coaching element to this type of product. And then Workplace EI, which is a hybrid training and coaching learning journey over 12 months, which also is built on different coaching methodologies. I’m a big proponent of coaching, one to one and group, in order to achieve the most favorable outcomes for businesses. My focus though has been soft skills so I cannot speak for other outcomes!
