Jimmy Choo Man Aqua
I feel like this fragrance isn’t that well known and doesn’t get a lot of love in the community. But it’s a wonderful aquatic scent with added notes of grapefruit and cardamom. It’s a great all-weather fragrance, and it’s very reasonably priced. It also comes in a beautiful bottle with a great pressurized atomizer. I know it’s one of the Rotten Rebel’s favorite fragrances, but I don’t hear too much about it. Admittedly the performance is a little weak, but I wear it often, and as you can see, I’m almost out! And I’m happily wearing it today!

The New D&G The One Parfum
I just picked this up at Macy's. Yes I know I know...almost $200 is crazy and I should have waited till it hits discounters. But seeing as how the OG The One EDP is one of my holy grail fragrances, I just couldn't wait! And I'm happy to report that this is every bit as good as I thought it would be. It takes that The One DNA (which is already amazing) and makes it darker, richer, bolder, and from what I can tell improves on the performance as well. If you like the original, you're going to like this one too. On a side note, I also tried out the new EDP formulation while I was there, and sadly I wasn't as crazy about that one. I still prefer the original EDP to the new one. But this new parfum is top notch! Again, if you love the original EDP, you need to get your nose on this one!

@Steve Louis The original EDP is still one of my all-time favorite fragrances. In fact, I think I'm going to pick up an extra bottle or two, as I assume that it will eventually be phased out due to the new formulation, which is good, but just not the same. I saw it on sale at Jomashop for $60!
SOTD- Friday December 5th: Zimaya Sharaf Blend
Still crazy cold out where I am, so a bit of sweetness in the air helps the day go by! This one is very close to Khamra, except it doesn’t have the buttery base underneath. It’s still sweet and crowd pleasing, which I enjoy very much. Angel’s’ Share is reserved for mostly holidays and special occasions, where this is more of an everyday type of wear.

I actually slightly prefer Sharaf Blend to Khamrah. But they’re both amazing fragrances, and both very inexpensive!
Acqua di Gio Giorgio Armani
Going with an oldie but goodie today on a humid foggy morning in the bayou. A PT taping session, a trip to a customer and a brief job site visit to drop off some samples and it’s off to the home of the birth place of Mardi Gras, although we do it better in New Orleans, Mobile Alabama. An Aromatic Aquatic fragrance for men with top notes are Lime, Lemon, Bergamot, Jasmine, Orange, Mandarin Orange and Neroli; middle notes are Sea Notes, Jasmine, Calone, Rosemary, Peach, Freesia, Hiacynth, Cyclamen, Violet, Coriander, Rose, Nutmeg and Mignonette; base notes are White Musk, Cedar, Oakmoss, Patchouli and Amber. Inspired by beauty of Pantellerie, where he spent his vacation, Armani created the aroma of Aqua di Gio for men and women. The fragrance for men is a scent of freedom, full of wind and water. The composition is built of a perfect harmony of sweet and salty notes of sea water and nuances of sunny warmth on your skin. Aqua di Gio is full of scorching Mediterranean sun. Bitter citrus with aromatic nuance of rosemary intertwines with salty, sea nuances and pellucid hedione. Sharp notes of spices are softened by woody base with warm, musky trail.

And to my nose, the new reformulation is a little brighter and has better performance than the OG.
Prada paradigme
I was at Kohl's today, so I couldn't help but stop by Sephora's before leaving. I happened to see they had the new Prada in stock so I gave it a try. I liked it off of strip, but wasn't blown away by it, but still picked up a 10ml small bottle to give it some wearings to further test it out. It's fresh and green right away and then quickly dries down to something that would fit into a YSL line in my opinion. Fresh and clean but not very original. It smells very familiar, but pleasant. I'll do some further testing and write up something at a later date. Have you tried this one yet? If so, what do you think of it?

I got a 5ml sample at Dillard’s. I can understand why some are disappointed with this release. It’s pretty generic, and we expect more from Prada, especially when they release a brand new fragrance line. But I actually like it. It reminds me of Myslf, and not just in how it smells, but also like Myslf, it’s an admittedly generic fragrance, but it just works. I plan on getting a bottle, but I can definitely wait till it hits discounters.

@Joel Keefer I agree! And in fact I liked it so much that just couldn’t wait any longer, LOL. So I picked up a bottle at Ulta. I know, $165 is kind of high, and I’m sure it will be available cheaper from discounters relatively soon. But heck, you only live once!
