Terre d’Hermès Parfum (1/3)
After having tried the EDT and Eau Givree, I went into the Parfum expecting a deeper version of the same thing. What I got was similar DNA, but the emphasis is clearly shifted. Here’s what i think. The opening is smoother and less aggressive straight away. The citruses are almost the same, but that peppery spice from the EDT is missing. Because of that, the Parfum doesn’t have the same rugged/dirty bite, but instead, it feels darker and more grounded from the start. As it settles, the moss comes through in a big way. This is the main difference for me. The Parfum leans heavily into a mossy, green that instantly reminded me of H24 EDP. The vetiver is still there, but it doesn’t feel as mineralic or gritty. In the EDT, vetiver leads with dryness and texture. Here, it’s blended into the moss and woods, making everything feel smoother and more cohesive. After the drydown, The base stays green, woody and slightly warm, without turning sweet or heavy. Overall, it feels more polished and less expressive than the EDT. Performance is stronger but quieter. I will get around 8-10 hours at this rate, but projection is more controlled (roughly 1.5-2 ft) as expected from a parfum. It doesn’t push out as much as the EDT, instead staying closer to the skin and feeling more refined. Comparing the two, the EDT is brighter, spicier and rougher around the edges. The Parfum removes the pepper, adds moss, and shifts the focus to depth and smoothness. The EDT feels more raw and textured. The Parfum feels calmer and more composed. Overall, I would give Terre d’Hermès Parfum an 8.85/10. It doesn’t replace the EDT, but it offers a different take on the same DNA. If you enjoy Terre d’Hermès but want something smoother, greener and less spicy, this is an easy recommendation. I plan on getting the EDT, Eau Givrée and H24 EDP. Out of the 3, the EDT is the only one that could potentially be replaced by something I haven’t tried yet, but the Parfum isn’t taking that spot. Here’s my ranking of the line so far:
