Melb winter treks week 6
Only the dedicated out on the steps and tracks today! 8 degrees and 2 days straight of rain and hail and some very slippery and muddy steps but we made it.. albeit covered in dirt and soaked 🙌🏻

Thanks @El Johnson-Smith and @Simon Johnson! I’m a planner by nature so I generally have my meals planned out a week in advance. Most main meals get me to 1100 cals so I add in snacks around that to hit macros ie: fruit, oats etc. I live alone so gets lots of leftovers and cook on a Wed for Wed - Sat and cook on a Sun for Sun - Tues. Planning makes it easier for shopping and also getting my lunchbox ready for work as I can get all that ready on a Sunday and just add in the freezer food each morning and off I go. The secret is also having something I enjoy each day - some sweet biscuits, icecream etc and keeping it within my cal range so I don’t feel like I’m missing out. As it’s Aussie winter atm, I’m doing most of my stuff in the slow cooker so lots of hearty casseroles etc which are set and forget!

Finally made it to 100kg box squats with some monster encouragement from El and Simon - Thankyou! 💪🏻

Let's start the week with a BOOM team! Shout out, too; @Richard Lloyd Smashed out his 100th session on the app! @Steph W 5kg box squat for 3x8 - road to 100kg , triple digitsss @Cara Coles down 10% of her BW in her first three months @Brandon McLean has hit a huge landmark and is now down 12kg @Abdulrahman Kattan - 5% down in 9 weeks, working in remote area and the food provided by the company is the biggest challenge. He quadrupled his Smith machine bench press PB, and the progress pictures are showing amazing changes. @Kevin Chow 6.5kg down in 7 weeks! The sub 2hr 50km cycle is pending in October, and other people are noticing the weight loss. Eating out most days, so sticking to the routine of 2 main meals a day Leave these guys some love in the comments below! And what is your number 1 goal this week team?

Weekend hikes
4 weeks in a row and friend and I have completed the 1,000 steps! Down to 12 mins to the top now! The photo is of the 1.4km uphill track just to get to the bottom of the steps to begin the climb. By the time we ran down Lyrebird track to the car, it was pouring rain! Melbourne in the winter 🥶
