Date Night
Last night, my wife and I enjoyed a wonderful date night at the rooftop restaurant at 1 Watson in San Antonio, taking in the city lights and the vibrant energy of downtown. The evening was a perfect blend of elegant surroundings, great conversation, and the simple joy of spending unhurried time together. While the venue itself reflected a sense of sophistication and style, it was disappointing to see that many patrons seemed to have little regard for dressing in a manner commensurate with the setting, a reminder that elegance is as much about conduct and presentation as it is about the venue itself.

@Stephen Horner If you are not the boss in that office, you should be because you are dressed like one.
Off to the Races!
Hello Gentleman, was hoping to pick your brains for an outfit suggestion. I`m planning to take my Girlfriend to the Travers Stakes out in Saratoga this August but I`ve never been to a Horserace. Its obviously a Derby day, but I`m not sure what to wear so i don`t stand out either as over or underdressed. any sugestions would be fantastic as ill have time to buy new pieces. Thank you in advance!

I googled some images from past years and it looks like a wide mix of styles…from regular street casual to Kentucky derby Seersucker suits and hats. It seems like that leaves you a lot of room to dress how you want. If you want to make it special, perhaps you go for the higher end…a linen or seersucker ensemble including pants, shirt and maybe a sport coat. If you usually wear a ball cap, trade it for a flat cap, straw hat or fedora?

Have you ever tried to move through your day at half the speed ? If not…. Try it and let me know what you think I’ve noticed stuff I’ve never noticed before, I think before I speak and usually say the right thing I’m just more intentional overall Presence is really the word I’m looking for So much so, this is my new screensaver When I move slow I make less mistakes too, it’s just tricking my brain since I’m always use to going fast I Love It Though

This sounds like a fun and rewarding exercise. I’m not sure I can do it for a whole day, but I’m going to try it.
Choosing the Right Accessories
Western style is often misunderstood as being all hat and boots, but the real magic lies in the details. The straw hat, turquoise bolo tie, ostrich belt, and matching ostrich boots create a look that feels authentic rather than costume-like—rooted in heritage while remaining refined. Paired with linen and denim, these accessories bring texture, character, and a distinctly Texas sense of confidence. The result is a style that feels equally at home at a Hill Country winery, a rooftop steakhouse, or an evening on the River Walk. As always, true style isn’t about wearing expensive pieces—it’s about wearing them with purpose.
