Good morning gentlemen, Today I turn 58 years old and I thank God for everyday that He has allowed me to live. I am truly blessed for the beautiful wife and family, that I have and the lifestyle that I have. I am not by anymore means rich as one would say. But according to most people in the world, if you have $10.00 in your pocket you in the top 20% percent of the wealthiest people in the world. But one thing that I am thankful for is even in my later life I came to the realization that being a man or a gentleman is more than money or status. My only regret is that I had not fully learned this completely earlier. Don’t get me wrong my parents raised me correctly, it was I that chose to fall away and live the way I thought the world wanted me to be. One thing that I wanted to point out this morning is that where you live whether it’s a house, trailer, apartment, condo, wherever you live your house should be that one place that is your Oasis. That one place that you can getaway from all the hustle and bustle of life, all the negativity of this world. This should be your safe haven, the one place that you look forward coming home to. And believe it or not it does not take a lot of money to do, simple things like adding flowers , mirrors, candles, wall art, playing music that you like, for me it’s jazz music. Take some time look at your house your living room, den, bedroom, different places in your house maybe rearrange the furniture to give it a different look, go online and look at some places then look on places like Amazon see if they have what you saw in pictures or videos that you watched. Then one of the best parts, pick a day your off and make it a shopping outing, start off with a nice breakfast, then go to places that you think that you might find items that your looking for. Who knows you might come across things that you never even thought of. If you married or have a significant other, invite them and get their opinion. Then have some lunch while your out, finish your shopping then come home and start redefining your house in the Oasis that you imagined. Once you complete it, you will find that you will not want to leave your house at all, you will be looking for the time that excuse for you to get off work so you can head home. You will find reasons to hurry home. You will find out that no matter what you face during the day nothing can compare to think about the moment you can head home. You will find that a clean home will set the mood and the vibe that you want. Everything that you do eat, sleep. Entertain will seem so much pleasurable. Last week I rearranged my home office and I found myself hanging in there all day one day just enjoying the freshness of it. I made me concentrate better, and I also decided to move my flight simulator into my office at home where I can get away and flight to any destination i want in real time and weather. But the point is I love my house and this is our Oasis.
