Back and shoulder mobility and strength.
I was able to balance in forearm headstand. I still find the feel of the arm position really strange. I tried to lift vertically and not have so much weight pushing down on my head. I found my back muscles really having to work bringing my knees back to a tuck position. I have been practicing bridge with the support of the stability ball whilst pushing through my shoulders. I managed to push up into the bridge. Not pretty but I got up and worked on my shoulders without the aid of the stability ball.

that tripod looks good! and I can imagine you will have at some point a nice tuck handstand!
Handstand on paralettes
Has anyone tried handstand on paralettes? If so would you recommend the wooden ones that are closer to the ground to start with? I’m thinking I might need to start practising using them in the meantime whilst I work on finger rehab as it might be a while before it’s ready for flat palms on the ground, particularly with the finger control require for handstand.

@Zara Doering somehow for me was easier on paralletts compared to hands on floor. Probably because I used these a lot on push ups, these ones on image. Even today, I can make handstands for really longer compared to hands on floor, but putted time to make it in different surfaces and heights these days, so its not a limiting factor. I started on small ones, but as long as they are stable and can handle well bounces, you should be fine. You then control under and over balance using wrists. My favorite place now is on higher parallels! The same, bail a couple times from the paralletts and you get use to it quickly! Give a go with your paralletts, will only be scary the first kick ups 💪
Headstand
I actually balanced in headstand my crow is getting better and longer im figuring out the balancing and keeping hips high knees tucked. I did a one arm hanger for a few seconds the othe hamd is weaker like maybe a second or 2. I dead hunged for o er a minute. And my handstands are getting better I can walk closer to the wall amd learning to bail without fear. Pretty good session today I basically just did some drills and warmed up shoulders.

Many gains there! congrats @Patricia Pepe, specially with the fear! 💪 I nevertheless feel always strange when hearing about headstands.. always imagine my neck hurting 🙄, so really never done those, but hopefully you are doing enough holding on arms, shoulders!
How many sets should I do?
I can do four reps of four sets with 4 min of rest but on my fifth and sixth set I can do three. Should I do the fifth and sixth set? Also do you need I need to add face pills and tricep isolation?

its really a sweet spot those sets of 4, 5 reps!
Bad news
Hi everyone, I’m going to have to take a long break from calisthenics. A week and a bit ago I suffered a vertebral artery dissection and it will take at least three months to recover from and I have to stop doing calisthenics or any weight lifting while it heals.

@Melody Gruber really hope for the best and that you recover soon! come back as soon as possible, not sure what is the level of rest you will need, hey but if possible do some walks, etc.. keeping some activity might help, even for your own mind! if the recommendation is not to stop fully. All the best
