Day 6
It was a great day overall. My husband set up/built my parallel bars today which I used a little to do some reps of incline pushups and inverted rows. They are set up outside and today it was like a sauna outside, so I couldn't do much outside today. Inside, some squats, leg raises, calf raises (I honestly don't know what it's called but it's standing and going on tippy toes and back down and back up etc.), a hollow hold for as long as I could, and some scissor kicks from laying on the ground. I did some mobility exercises/stretches as well. I also speed walked for 25 minutes on the treadmill. How is everyone else doing?

@Brandon Beauchesne-Hebert Thank you. I am just trying to show up for myself every day without excuses. There's always something I can do. Some days I can do more than other days, but I am trying to move more.
Day 7 (Last daily update for me but will update weekly)
I did some squats, calf raises, 25 minutes speed walking on the treadmill, lifted 15 pound weights and held the iron cross position again for a few seconds times 3 times (I want to one day be able to do the iron cross again and want to regularly train for that even though it will be so, so long from now), I also did some incline push ups on the bench at the gym... but I wanna share what happened... I was doing my incline push ups on the bench and my right wrist had some sharp shooting pain. I stopped and was like "what was that?" Out of the push up position my wrist felt fine-completely normal. I was able to move it normally in all directions then I figured well maybe I should do some wrist mobility stretches that I know as it has been years since I stretched my wrists and they are not flexible at all. So is stretched them and went to do a few more incline push ups and again, sharp shooting pain in it pretty much immediately so I stopped again. I was like, "what?--I am not injured. My wrist is normal, this is weird--what's going on." I give it a little break and some more stretches and again I tried more incline push ups and again, my right wrist had the same sharp shooting pain--and also again (all 3 times) my wrist felt completely normal when no weight was on my wrist. That was over an hour ago and my wrist feels fine still. It was only my right wrist. I am right handed if that has anything at all to do with it. Does anyone know what that pain was? I could understand it more if I was actually Injured but it kept going away immediately which I find to be super weird. I was 337 pounds this time last week. Today I weight 335.4 pounds. I will keep sharing my weight on my weekly update until I am in a healthy weight or decide to stop. Sharing it because I wanna inspire others who are also on a weight loss journey--if I can do it, they can do it too. It's not always about the results but about the journey. See you all next week for my weekly update. Every Wednesday it looks like. Weigh in Wednesday is what I call it. I may do other posts. I will still be around. 😊
Day 5
Today isn't really worth an update but I said I would still show up today, so here I am. I didn't do anything noteworthy today. Just a few squats one time today. I am exhausted from not sleeping plus ate something I shouldn't have and it caused my face to itch around my mouth and intense intestinal pain for a few hours or so. Now I am sleepy and off to bed shortly. I still did 5000 steps today. Not much, but it's something. Tomorrow should be a better day. Hope everyone is doing well. 😊

@Brandon Beauchesne-Hebert Thanks for sharing that it's still worth the update. Thankfully the allergy or food intolerance didn't cause difficulty breathing and I am fine today. I had a little more sleep last night than usual, but not where I would like to be yet. I am trying to go to sleep earlier. Days are so busy lately that it seems almost everything is done after my toddler goes to bed. With calisthenics, I can squeeze in a few reps of things at almost any point in the day and that's been neat.

@Zara Doering Thank you. I keep telling myself that. Sometimes when I am working out, I picture the healthy version of me telling me to keep fighting and working hard. I am looking forward to seeing the healthy version of me that seems so far away right now, but I will get there and keep showing up.
Hi
Hi, i'm Sandra I'm 56, my sister has just been given a year to a year and a half to live at 48. I'll be the last family member left as a lot of my family have died of cancer or a heart attack at a young age. I have 3 grown up children. 2 small grandchildren and another on the way. I've started taking my health and life choices seriously. I have people who rely on me. I'm doing everything i can to make sure they still have me around.

Hello Sandra, So sorry to hear about your sister and the rest of your family. That's gotta be so tough. I am happy you're here and doing all you can to live longer for your family. Keep showing up for yourself every single day and do something to move your body everyday. I am just starting my fitness journey as well (day 6) and I am learning to keep doing something even on days when I am tired and don't feel like it--I do it anyways and keep showing up for the healthy version of me I am looking forward to seeing one day. I have done daily updates on here so far if you wanted to follow along on my journey (and if not, it's totally fine), but after 7 days, I will start to do weekly updates here. This community is great and we are all here cheering each other on. I am happy you're here Sandra.
Day 1 of daily updates
I am new here and wrote my first post last night. If you didn't see that yet, feel free to check out that post. The only thing you should know for context is that I am 337 pounds currently making calisthenics extremely hard for me. I am still doing what I can do and have to start somewhere. I had such a busy day and not too much time to workout today, but I did 20 knee push ups today (I did a few then took a few seconds break then did a few more and break and so on until I did 20 knee push ups). I also swam at the pool and did laps for 15 minutes straight then had fun with my husband and toddler. I hope to be able to do a lot more tomorrow as it shouldn't be as busy of a day for me tomorrow. I plan to do daily workout updates here to share my journey and also keep me accountable (as I have a tendency to quit because calisthenics is really hard, especially at my weight) and now I have a community here to help keep me accountable to do daily calisthenics. Thanks for reading and following along on my journey. I am off to bed now.

@Ricardo Jorge I am not strong in the upper body. I can't do 1 normal push up. In grade 8, I could do 30 normal push ups with no break at all. 20 knee push ups with a lot of breaks is almost nothing in comparison and was incredibly hard and my arms are quite sore from it today. So in comparison of what I used to be able to do, my arms are definitely not strong. Maybe I am just too hard on myself because of knowing all I used to be able to do and anything weaker than that doesn't seem like it's strong for me. I probably gotta work on that while I get stronger. I can't compare me to my old self so much or I could always be disappointed. I am happy with the 20 knee push ups. It's still a decent amount and more than I could do in recent past. Thanks for saying it's a great start. I am strong (just nowhere near to where I want to be, but I guess it doesn't mean that I am not strong until I reach a large goal. Smaller goals. I am strong and getting stronger 💪🏼). Thanks for promoting some good self talk, haha 😆 Your words were helpful. 😊
