Weekly Challenge - Fragrance Wardrobe
Well guys, my fragrance wardrobe is bursting at the seams! I tried grouping bottles together by house, but I can only do that for so long! Then I tried grouping by designer versus niche. That sort of works as I have designers in one room and niche in another! Overflow is in the closet.....š
My biggest challenge is space! I mean, look at that collection just sitting on the floor?!?! I look for ways to fit my bottles just so, so that I can always squeeze in a little more. I did a post about that here. A perfect challenge for an OCD Engineer!! Some bottles of my collection are in cabinets, the tall one I custom built around acrylic shelves mounted on the wall. Some are in wire baskets (that's in my walk-in closet too) All are protected from sunlight and I keep the house at a freezing 76°F. As I think about what topics I want to write and post about, I go to random areas in the collection, dust them off and spray a few times for inspiration! I even find some that I forgot I even had! I would list my frags, but that'd be crazy long in this post! Let's just say, I have a little of everything! I also have a sizable decant collection that goes way beyond this! Gents, if I may offer you some advice, you don't ever want to get to this point unless you're a collector/reviewer as I set out to be! Curate your collection (check out @Mike Payne challenge post) Sample where you can, and fear NOT the FOMO! Frags come and frags go, when you are ready, there will be the perfect frag for you, always! So, what say you, Gents? You think this an awesome collection? What frags look interesting to you? What frags were a complete waste of money? Or am I bat-sh!t crazy and need to seek help from a professional about this prime example of a mid-life crisis? Love to hear from 'ya!
