Workshop Sessions at Author Nation
Suze and Joe Solari who have Author Nation in Las Vegas each year (the largest indie author conference) have a survey out to see what authors would like a deeper dive workshop session on at their event in November 2026. If you are considering coming to Las Vegas for the event &/or there is a workshop session you'd like to see, you can complete this form. Of course, if there is something on book marketing or building your author brand or book marketing assets or the future of book marketing applied today, non-fiction book writing that I could host as well you can request it (and me) as the instructor. This is not required though ... they just want to know what people want deeper sessions on. These are a couple of my photos from this year :) https://app.smartsuite.com/form/so8pqexh/1wseVWdjxR

Understanding Your Data
This might not be the most exciting video you ever watch but it could be one of the most valuable. If you only look at sales numbers as an author you're missing a huge part of the picture. Sales are one metric but they aren't even the most important. In this video I walk through five categories of data so you can start to understand your author business and make better decisions.

I thought I might have viewed this video on YouTube but I’ll plan to revisit just in case I’m mistaken. Thanks for sharing such valuable data/information
Greetings from a new member
Hello everyone! To introduce myself I'm retired after having worked 30+ years for one of the New York Metropolitan area's largest transportation/economic agencies. Over those many years I enjoyed a fruitful career, but always had a longing to pursue a writing career. I even took a stab at participating in a creative writing workshop, but I believe I was not confident enough about my voice at the time and stopped with that pursuit. Having grown up in the Midwest my mother always made it a point to take me somewhere interesting for my summer vacations, be it one of the major cities or an historic site. I believe unknowing to her, that sparked a drive within me of one day wanting to work and live in one of the major cities when I got older. That dream did come to pass in terms of having the opportunity of working at the World Trade Center's North Tower for twenty years. Yes, in case you were wondering, I was in the North Tower on September 11, 2001, when the first plane attacked and that is what my book is about. It is a moment-by-moment detail of my experience on that fateful day from the time I awakened until the time I was eventually able to lay my head to rest. It's been a long journey in writing the book after numerous drafts and I'm still at what I believe is the final one. In the beginning over that period of time I wrestled with a host of things as to why I should not write the book; that is, until I finally felt I had been given a purpose to share my particular story. The most compelling of them was believing God had impressed upon my heart His wanting to use my varied experiences from that day and relate them to spiritual insights and lessons. I'm so grateful I took the opportunity to attend the recent "Self-Publish and Succeed" Summit as it was packed full of juicy nuggets and since have been working to incorporate some into my writing, as well as into my author's brand--something I never had any thought about or consideration prior to this Summit. In terms of what is my biggest marketing obstacle right now [tag@Julie Broad], I would venture to say it is: "assuring that my content stays on par with my overall goal and objective, as well as properly documenting quotations and references."

@Roger Magalhaes Thanks for your reply and one thing’s for sure, practically everyone was impacted in some way that day. Glad you’re here and may your writing project wheel on down the road to victory
Happy Thanksgiving

@Julie Broad Happy Thanksgiving to you and the Book Launcher’s team.
Going WIDE!
With the Amazon Launch behind us for both ebook and paperback, wider distribution has now been coming online for Your Business Growth Playbook! IngramSpark moves glacially slow in approving things, printing, packaging, and shipping, BUT… they are the gateway to the entire book world. With my book now approved and setup for distribution, most anywhere you can buy books now has access to my paperback and ebook! Of note, you can now buy Your Business Growth Playbook at Barnes & Noble, and if you’re local here in San Jose, at my favorite bookstore, Hicklebees in Willow Glen! On the other end of the spectrum, it also means I’m in the big stores like Walmart and available for bulk purchase through BookPal! 🍏 If you’re an Apple person and buy your books on Apple Books, we’re approved and online with Apple Books. 🤓 If you’re a Google person and like reading your books through Google Play, we’re also finally approved on Google Play, too! 🇦🇺 Even some of the international stores are starting to make my book available, like Booktopia, Australia’s home for books!
