@Suzi Elton I'm not sure we're in a world where people are going to make a lot of money from books - those that do are going to be the exception not the rule. Truthfully it's always been like that but the ability to get information in so many ways and the vast volumes of books being created now have amplified that challenge. What else can you create around your book that you can semi-automate so that you're not involved everyday? This might be a membership site with some sort of an AI assistant that people can talk to. It may be courses, although truthfully, I really don't think most courses sell without a human element nowadays. I think for strategy, you have to think beyond the book. What else can you create with the content in your book that doesn't involve you having to work every day? With books you're making $4 per book sold anyway - that's a tough way to make a living even if you sell 1000 a month.

Someone I know just did a Kickstarter and sold 21,000 books in his Kickstarter, and a lot of it was due to the community he had built - not a list but real human connections. There is a path to make lots of money as an author, but it's not passive and it's not soley from book sales. A lot of the money he made in that Kickstarter is because he's going to do talks or one-hour sessions with groups to sell the books. what Rob said. I actually think you'll dilute your search results and your LLM discoverability if you throw in that extra line that adults can use it too. Really gear it towards parents heavily, and I think you'll stand out a lot easier.

I just saw a post on IBPA's Slack channel that KDP is having some technical difficulties with their printing, so it may be a technical issue. I don't know. I'm going to check with my team and see if we've had any issues as well, but that is generally unusual. All that said, if I have a really tight timeline for ordering books, I go through 48-hour books.
