Reader Nation 2026
Who else am I going to see at Reader Nation in November? @Kevin Hall I know it's on your list! VIP early bird tickets went on sale this morning and I snagged mine as well as hotel! Tickets go on sale publically in a week! See you there...? :)

OMG… they can’t have events with basically the same name in the same place back to back! 😱 I totally got tickets to the wrong event. Aaaaaaaarrrrrggggh! 😆😆😆

Problem solved. I’m now registered for AN’26, too. 😆
Publish and then unpublish to get the live URL?
Hi! Here's the thing. All my marketing materials include a QR code that will point back to my amazon book's page to leave a review. However, I don't have the url because the book release will happen on April 28th. Which means I can't prepare the marketing materials ahead of time. Is there a way to get the url before I publish my book to update all my marketing materials? I can't publish and unpublish since it would hurt my launch date, right? GPT, and Perplexity aren't helping. I need the experts!

Use a redirect. You want to control the domain name anyway. QR codes (and the URL they point to) are forever. By making it a domain you control with a redirect, you can always change its destination in the future. Like when the book publishes. :)
ARC REVIEWS - Which Platforms Work Best for You?
I'm excited because I got my final manuscript fully designed and now I've unlocked the next level: ARC REVIEWS. I have read @Julie Broad book but it doesn't mention Book Sirens or Hidden Gems Books, which are recommendations from other sources. What platforms have you used and saw the best results? Thank you.

I loved HelpThisBook.com for getting manuscript feedback from beta readers and then in turn early reviews.

@Lora Arbrador they're the same thing. They're both short form vertical content... Same as *shudder* TikTok... :) Then, for LinkedIn, I use horizontal format of the same content.

@Yna Davis fun fact about California. As a California resident, you can have a library card at ANY (and all) library in California and you can add that card to Libby so when you search for a book, you can borrow it from any library where you have a card. Many, you just get your card online. Some, you get your card online and then within three months need to visit the branch. And a few, you just need to get in person.
