Fuel for Gain
If you think you can just lift heavy and chug down a protein shake to grow muscles, you're chasing a myth, bro. Building muscle takes more than just pumping iron. It's about structuring your meals like a pro. First, you need protein. It's the building block, after all. Think lean meats, poultry, fish, eggs, and a sprinkle of plant-based stuff like beans. Aim for about 1 to 2 grams per pound of your body weight if you're serious about gains. āœļø Check out 1 Corinthians 10:31: whether you eat or drink, do it all for God's glory...and for your gains! Next, carbs. Yes, I said it. Carbs are not your enemy. Whole grains, sweet potatoes, fruits... They'll give you the energy to smash through those workouts. Think of it as giving your muscles high-octane fuel. Then you got fats. Healthy ones. Avocados, nuts, oils. They help with hormone production...including testosterone, bro. šŸ’ŖšŸ» No fat means low test levels, and low test equals small gains. Finally, veggies. They round out the meal, providing vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Keep your body balanced and ready to grow. Balance and variety are key, dude. No skipping meals or binge eating. Treat your body like the temple it is—fuel it right, train hard, and pray even harder. Stay disciplined and on track, like St. Paul when he says in 1 Corinthians 9:27 to keep his body under control. Hope this helps. God bless

On the Sublime and Infinite Majesty of God
Brothers, tonight I was studying the Summa Theologiae of Saint Thomas Aquinas, the first articles on sacred doctrine and the identity of God to be exact. I was particularly touched by the doctrine of divine simplicity and the goodness of God. Saint Thomas teaches that God is so perfect, that all actual and possible perfections are to be found in Him. So great is His transcendence that, Saint Thomas teaches, that He is above all category altogether. God is simple, and lacks any composition (whether physical or metaphysical) in Himself. These truths are so deep, so beautiful! God, Saint Thomas says, is so simple that His essence cannot be distinguished from His existence. Hence, we can and should say that God IS Being Itself, IS Existence Itself. Therefore, and this is the takeaway here, there is nothing that IS without Him moving it TO BE. Brothers, I say this not to give a course in theology. I say this to stir in you holy fear and admiration of God’s Majesty. Now, consider also the goodness of God. Goodness is the desirability of a thing. God, having all perfection within His infinite and simple Self, and since all existing goods have a participation in existence, which God is by nature as we said, is infinitely to be desired by all rational beings. Hence, God is not only infinitely good, but is very Goodness! Brothers, pause for a moment and contemplate the beauty of God, His perfections, His simplicity and His Majesty. And then consider this: this same God became man and suffered for you. Consider that, by the help of His grace, you are destined to possess and enjoy this God for all eternity, starting even now in this life. Consider that it is this same God whom you offend by your sins, and whom you risk to lose forever should you not repent. Meditate on this deeply, and I assure you, the love of God will be more easy and pleasant to achieve. Meditate on this, and this valley of tears will seem as a trifle compared to the glory we are working for. Nothing will be too hard to do for such a God of power, of majesty, of gentle love! His grace assists us, His power shields us and His love keeps us. Let us serve the Lord with holy fear and trembling, with awe and reverence. Remember that it is this same God of majesty whom you receive in Holy Communion! Let us do all things for love of Him, for in truth, nothing is good or lasting without Him! Praise the Lord, all you His Angels, and glorify Him all you His Saints! Let every creature in Heaven, on earth and under the earth bless and adore the Lord God of Hosts forever and ever! Amen! So be it!

Amen! Be on fire with God!
Timing
Hey y’all, I have a question. Is there any specific time that I should exercise or does it not matter?

It depends on your schedule. I usually work it around my schedule and the program that I’m on. Doesn’t matter if it is in the morning or afternoon or evening. As much as possible I try to be consistent.
COMMUNITY RUNDOWN
🟢 PURPOSE - The purpose of this community is to bring together Catholic men who are simply sick and tired of living under the thumb of Leftist culture. You put on a mask in public because you fear being judged, or canceled, you went to college because you were supposed to, and you work a job you don't love because you just want to make enough money to provide. - The Catholic communities you've been a part of are very nice...the other guys are good Catholic men. BUT...there's not a strong desire to level up. To be be fulfilled in your labor. To become financially independent. To be jacked. To be socially atrractive. To be the best version of yourself. ā“ WHY DOES THIS MATTER? - IT IS OUR BELIEF that the best way to push the needle back towards tradition is for Catholic men to crush it in life. Being on top of their game in all areas is what truly inspires others. And by others I mean people who don't think like us. - This means they don't trade their values for a paycheck - they either work for a company with similar values, or do their own thing. They don't allow themselves to be out of shape - it's not inspiring. They don't allow themselves to be awkward - social attractiveness is necessary for evangilizing. - If we're TRULY going to win back the culture, we're going to do so through influence. But to be influential, we need to be exceptional. 🟢 PATH The path towards this goal is simple: 1. Get in Shape 2. Figure out what you're meant to do in life 3. Learn how to monetize it 4. Do that as much as you can while fulfilling familial duties 5. Do it at an exceptional standard so you influence others - This community will act as a hub for us to inpire others, form connections, and build each other up. We want each other to win. 🟢 PROGRESS Each Tier of the Based & Built Academy has Levels. The courses at each level are designed to help you self-develop in a variety of areas. Take what you can at each level, implement it, and progress to the next level. When you're ready, you can apply to the next Tier where more training, resources and mentorship is available to help you keep growing.
